According to Autoblog, Mercedes-Benz states that the EQC won’t be available in the U.S. “for now,” hinting at a possibility of hitting the North American market shortly. The Mercedes-Benz EQC release date was originally expected to be around early 2020, however, this was then postponed to early 2021. With both these dates coming and going, the luxury automaker stated that the new EQC will “not be offered in the United States for now," pointing towards fluctuations in the market as the root cause.
When released, the Mercedes-Benz EQC 400 4MATIC® is designed to compete against the Audi e-tron, Tesla Model X, and Jaguar I-PACE, with pricing slated to start at $68,895 MSRP*. Although the introduction of the EQC is delayed, the new EQS sedan is planned for release in the third quarter of 2021.
